Brent Newton is a senior staff author at Quimbee. Before joining Quimbee, Brent was deputy director of the United States Sentencing Commission and, before that, a state and federal public defender. After graduating from law school, he clerked for Judge Carolyn King of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Brent also serves as an adjunct professor of law at American and Georgetown Universities and as an adjunct professor of political science at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
