Cassie Olson
Instructional Designer
Cassie’s background is in secondary education and professional development. After graduating from UWO, she began teaching various high social studies courses. While working with a diverse group of high school students, she realized the importance of high quality instructional design and most importantly, making complex topics accessible for all learners. After receiving her masters in instruction, she began working as an instructional technology coach. As a coach, she continued to break complex topics into learnable skills for teachers, aid curriculum teams through their course development and was an everyday problem solver. She collaborated with the administrative team to develop timely professional development for the staff she worked with, modeling best practices and maintaining that instructional design throughout.
Cassie is passionate about providing quality learning experiences for all learners that are backed in learning science. She loves learning new things, especially by reading or listening to podcasts. When she isn’t designing, she can be found hiking and exploring with her two dogs, traveling with her husband, or tackling the latest home improvement project.
