What is my requirement as a Vermont-licensed attorney?

Vermont attorneys must complete 24 credits, including 2 ethics CLE credits, 1 attorney wellness CLE credit, and 1 diversity and Inclusion CLE credit, every 2 years.

Yes, excess credits may be carried over if earned in the second year of the reporting period.

Newly Admitted Attorneys

I'm a new attorney. When do I report CLE credit?

Newly admitted Vermont attorneys must complete 15 credits of specially approved CLE courses on Vermont practice and procedure. At least 6 of the 15 credits must be from live courses. All 15 credits must be completed no earlier than 1 year before and no later than 1 year after admission to the bar. These credits will count toward the MCLE requirement during the first reporting period.

If a course is accredited in more than one state, is there an extra cost to receive certificates in all states?

Quimbee will issue certificates for attorneys licensed in multiple jurisdictions at no extra cost. We will only issue certificates for jurisdictions in which a course has been approved.

How do I receive my certificate once I’ve completed my course?

Once you complete a course, your certificate will be available for automatic download. We’ll also save all of your certificates in your account so that you can access them any time you need to.
