Newly Admitted Attorneys

I'm a new attorney. When do I report CLE credit?

Newly-admitted D.C. attorneys must complete the Mandatory Course on the D.C. Rules of Professional Conduct and Practice within 12 months of being admitted. D.C. attorneys looking to change their status or be reinstated must also complete the course.



Non-mandatory jurisdiction information

General information

Washington D.C. currently does not have an MCLE requirement. Attorneys are encouraged to take CLE classes to maintain their professional competence.
