Doctrine of Destructibility of Contingent Remainders


A common law doctrine, now widely abolished, that provided for the destruction of contingent remainders established by an instrument conveying an interest in real property in the event that the condition specified to vest the remainder failed to occur during the lifetime of the first grantee.
