Right of Attribution (Visual Artists Rights Act)


A provision of the Copyright Act granting artists the right to claim authorship of their work, prevent use of the his or her name as author of a work that he or she did not create, and prevent use of his or her name when his or her work was distorted or modified in a way that would prejudice the artist’s reputation.
