Rule 807 of the Federal Rules of Evidence


Provides that a statement otherwise inadmissible as hearsay is admissible if there are circumstantial guarantees of its trustworthiness, the statement concerns a material issue of fact, and the statement has more probative value on that fact than any other evidence that the proponent can proffer.
