Valentine Platon
Senior Instructional Designer
Valentine is an instructional designer at Quimbee. Valentine's responsibility is to visualize complex legal issues and represent them in a way that anyone can understand.
Valentine's professional activity places her at the intersection of visual communications, business, and learning. While completing an MBA program, Valentine simultaneously took graphic-design classes at the New England School of Art and Design. After graduating, Valentine worked for a few years as a multimedia producer at State Street Corporation. Subsequently, she moved on to leading the graphic design/presentation team at BMO Capital Markets, where she was directly responsible for managing the workload and workflow of eight graphic designers and presentation specialists, who produced visual materials for the institutional sales pitches of 150 investment advisers.
With this strong background in both hands-on multimedia design and people/project management, Valentine started her own firm and took on a wide variety of projects, ranging from the design of visual aids for academic courses and the development of a private-school curriculum from a visual-communications perspective to the design and production of animated explainer videos for law, medical, and other firms.
Valentine is passionate about helping people learn and grow to their full potential by assimilating well-structured knowledge conveyed in a visual, non-linear fashion.
