Brandon Leopoldus is a California-based attorney and founder of Leopoldus Law, APC – the solutions firm for those in the sports and entertainment industries.
Mr. Leopoldus’ sports practice has included representing professional sports franchises, unions, individuals working in or retired from high level, Olympic, and professional officials. Some of his highlights have included representing an MLS team during the beginning of 2021, advising the Association of Minor League Umpires during COVID, advising dozens of collegiate athletes as they prepare for professional playing careers, and most recently developing the model to maximize returns for collegiate athletes leveraging their name, image, and likeness rights.
As a recognized leader in sports law, Mr. Leopoldus is a featured speaker and panelist across the country including video Continuing Legal Education presentations, guest lectures at numerous law schools, and panels at the Sports Lawyers Association’s (SLA) Annual Conference. Mr. Leopoldus has been widely acclaimed for his LinkedIn Video Series focused on sports law topics.
Mr. Leopoldus is an award-winning member of the Sports Lawyers Association, a member of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, the Sports and Entertainment Society, and on the Athlete Outreach Committee of Merging Vets and Players.
Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Leopoldus spent many years in Minor League Baseball as an umpire – only being called out on SportsCenter once.
In his spare time, Leopoldus enjoys spending time with his friends and family, including his incredibly smart dog, Harvey – named after Hall of Fame umpire Doug Harvey.
