Kevin Johnson, JD

Kevin Johnson has been General Counsel for Emporia State University since 2012. He previously practiced law in Wichita, Kansas in a general practice, but with an emphasis in small business representation. His practice included civil litigation and appeals in state and federal court. He has also taught business law and has authored several articles and books on business law, employment law, and other legal issues. Kevin is a collector of eighteenth century English law books, including a first edition of Blackstone’s Commentaries on the Law. He is licensed to practice law before the state and federal courts of Kansas, the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a graduate of Washburn University School of Law and Wichita State University.
