Nicole Saunders is an administrative law judge at the Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH) in Florida. There, she primarily provides over cases involving the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
Prior to joining DOAH, Nicole worked as a Deputy General Counsel at the Florida Department of Education. In that role, she served as the lead attorney for the State of Florida’s Vocational Rehabilitation and Blind Services programs.
Nicole began her career as a Corporate Associate for a Fortune 500 fintech company. She then honed her litigation skills, first as an Assistant State Attorney, and then as an associate at a law firm, where she practiced exclusively in federal court. She also clerked for Florida Supreme Court Justice.
In her spare time, Nicole volunteers in her community. She is also a sought-after CLE presenter for the Florida Bar, Lawline, Quimbee, and MilesTales Publishing, among other companies.
Nicole graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2016, where she was awarded for her outstanding pro bono work. She is admitted to practice in Florida, including the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Middle Districts of Florida.
