Definition

A “cramdown” provision of the United States Bankruptcy Code that authorizes judicial confirmation of a Chapter 11 reorganization plan where, with respect to secured creditors, such claimants retain liens securing their claims and receive deferred payments equal to or greater than the allowed amount of their secured claims as of the plan date.
