Abuse of Rights
Definition
In civil-law jurisdictions, the improper or abusive exercise of legal rights in a way that is intended to cause harm, has no legitimate purpose, is in bad faith, or is for an ulterior purpose. Abuse of rights is comparable to abuse of process and malicious prosecution in the United States.
