Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs)

Definition

For-profit village and regional corporations collectively holding title to millions of acres of native land in Alaska that were established pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). ANCs manage the land for the benefit of their shareholders, all of whom are Alaska Natives.
