Definition

For customs purposes, any material, tool or machinery, merchandise consumed during production, or engineering or development work, as further defined under 19 U.S.C. § 1401a(h)(1)(A), supplied directly or indirectly, at a free or reduced cost, by the buyer of imported merchandise in connection with the production or sale of merchandise imported into the United States.
