Common Article 2 of the 1949 Geneva Conventions

Definition

Article 2 provides that the provisions of all four 1949 Geneva Conventions will be applicable in cases of war or other armed conflict between two or more of the Conventions’ High Contracting Parties, even if one of the parties does not recognize a state of war.
