Droite de Suite

Definition

Also called a resale royalty, a droite de suite gives artists the right to receive royalties from future sales of their work and thereby share in the work’s future appreciation in value. Droite de suite has been adopted in many countries, and is part of international copyright law, but has never been adopted in the United States.
