Fed. R. Civ. P. 4(h)(1)

Definition

A rule of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure providing that service of process may be effected upon a corporation in the United States by complying with the law of the state where the suit is filed or service is made, or by delivering the summons and complaint to an officer, general or managing agent, or an agent otherwise authorized to accept service.
