Finding of No Significant Impact

Definition

(FONSI) A document prepared by a federal agency that explains why a proposed action, for which the agency has prepared an environmental assessment, will not have a significant impact on the environment and therefore will not require a detailed environmental impact statement under the National Environmental Policy Act.
