Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program

Definition

Authorized by the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the Foreign Assistance Act (FAA), the FMS program allows the Department of Defense (DOD) to enter contracts to sell or lease services, training, and equipment from defense contractors to eligible foreign governments and international organizations.
