Reasonable-Connection Test

Reasonable-Connection Test

Definition

A rule of interpretation that some jurisdictions apply instead of traditional contract-law principles to determine whether someone was occupying an insured vehicle for purposes of uninsured-motorist coverage. The reasonable-connection test evaluates whether the person was engaged in activities that others in a similar situation would be expected to do within reasonable proximity of the covered vehicle in time and distance.
