Reynold’s Privilege

Definition

A three-step analysis used by United States courts when the state-secrets privilege has been invoked, to determine whether privileged evidence should be excluded from a case and how that case should proceed. In the United Kingdom, the Reynold's Privilege refers to a qualified privilege given to journalists reporting on a matter of public interest.
