Definition

The right of an artist to be credited as the creator of her work and to prevent her work from being misattributed to another artist. The Copyright Act grants an artist the right to claim authorship of her work, prevent use of her name as author of work she did not create, and prevent use of her name when her work was distorted or modified in a way that would prejudice her reputation.
