Facts
A.D. (plaintiff) sued Choice Hotels International, Inc. (Choice) and other hotel owners and operators (collectively, the hotel parties) (defendants) under the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008, alleging that she was a victim of sex trafficking at hotels that Choice owned. Choice filed a motion to sever, claiming that the hotel parties were improperly joined in the suit.
