Facts
The European Commission (plaintiff) conducted a raid on the premises of Akzo Nobel Chemicals and Akcros Chemicals (collectively, Akzo) (defendants), seizing numerous documents. Akzo asserted that any documents seized that contained communications between its employees and its in-house counsel were protected by the attorney-client privilege.
