Facts
A trial involving Mitchell (defendant) and Alcorn (plaintiff) occurred. Immediately after the court adjourned, Mitchell deliberately spat in Alcorn’s face. Alcorn sued Mitchell for damages for offensive battery. The jury awarded punitive damages, and Mitchell appealed.
