Anderson v. Dyco Petroleum Corporation
Oklahoma Supreme Court
1989 OK, 132, 782 P.2d 1367, 107 O. & G.R. 504 (1989)
- Written by Sean Carroll, JD
Facts
Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company (Panhandle) (defendant) purchased natural gas from Dyco Petroleum Corporation (Dyco), one of several working-interest owners in a natural-gas well. Panhandle and Dyco were the only parties to the sales contract; the remaining working-interest owners were not party to the agreement. A group of other working-interest owners in the well (plaintiffs) sued Panhandle for conversion, arguing that they were entitled to part of the sales price. The trial court granted summary judgment to Panhandle. The plaintiffs appealed to the Oklahoma Supreme Court.
