Facts
Bach-Tuyet Chau (plaintiff) was injured while aboard a cruise ship owned by NCL (Bahamas) Ltd. (Norwegian) (defendant). Chau sued Norwegian to recover for her injuries, claiming that she tripped over a signpost that had blown over. Chau named Dr. Huynh and Dr. Roberta Kasman on her list of expert witnesses. Huynh was Chau’s primary-care physician, who also treated Chau for her injuries. Kasman was Chau’s orthopedic surgeon. Norwegian filed a motion to preclude the doctors from testifying as expert witnesses.
