Dargo v. Clear Channel Communications, Incorporated
United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois
2008 WL 2225812 (2008)
- Written by Joseph Bowman, JD
Facts
Kassie Dargo (Dargo) (plaintiff) worked in Chicago, until Clear Channel Communications (Clear Channel) (defendant) recruited her to work for Clear Channel in Minneapolis. Clear Channel promised Dargo a higher salary and a two-year employment contract. Dargo accepted, quit her job in Chicago, moved to Minneapolis, and signed a one-year lease for housing. Dargo never received the promised two-year employment contract, and she was fired shortly after beginning her new job. Dargo sued Clear Channel. Among her allegation was a claim for promissory estoppel. Clear Channel moved to dismiss Dargo’s complaint.
