- Written by Matt Fyock, JD
Facts
Davis and a group of fellow African American and Latino employees (plaintiffs) sued their employer, Precoat Metals (Precoat) (defendant) alleging hostile work environment, including racial and offensive comments by other employees and other discriminatory work practices. Davis moved to compel discovery of other employees’ complaints of racial and national origin discrimination against Precoat at the same manufacturing plant. Precoat argued that the plaintiffs’ requests were overbroad in that they sought information regarding all allegedly discriminatory actions by the defendant.
