United States District Court for the District of Maryland
795 F. Supp. 2d 360 (2011)
- Written by Darius Dehghan, JD
Facts
Famata Fahnbulleh (plaintiff) was an employee of GFZ Realty, LLC (defendant), a property-management company. GFZ Realty assigned Fahnbulleh to work as the onsite residential business manager for an apartment complex called Park Terrace Apartments (Park Terrace). Fahnbulleh also resided at Park Terrace as a tenant. Ermine Jackson, another tenant at Park Terrace, subjected Fahnbulleh to relentless sexual harassment. GFZ Realty sent Jackson a notice to vacate his apartment, but the sexual harassment continued. Subsequently, Fahnbulleh brought suit against GFZ Realty. Fahnbulleh asserted a number of claims, including a claim alleging that GFZ Realty violated the Fair Housing Act (FHA). GFZ Realty filed a motion to dismiss. The district court took the motion under advisement.
