Facts
Iannelli (defendant) was convicted of conspiring to violate 18 U.S.C. § 1955, which criminalized the joining together of five or more people to run an illegal gambling business. Iannelli was convicted of both the conspiracy and the targeted offense. The Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit affirmed.
