Facts
A Mexican court issued letters rogatory to a court in New York, asking for assistance in service of a summons and complaint against Manhattan Trust Company of the city of New York (Manhattan Trust Company) (defendant) for a lawsuit pending against Manhattan Trust Company in Mexico. Manhattan Trust Company was a New York company with its offices in New York. It did not have any business or property in Mexico. The court entered an order directing service of the Mexican summons and complaint on Manhattan Trust Company, and Manhattan Trust Company moved to vacate the order.
