Facts
Chico Schneider, a dual citizen of Switzerland and the United States, died while domiciled in New York. His will provided for a disposition of Swiss real property in a manner that contravened the internal law of Switzerland. An administratrix of Schneider’s estate was appointed before his will was entered into probate. The administratrix liquidated the Swiss property and moved the resulting fund to New York. The court was called upon to determine the validity of Schneider’s devise.
