Facts
Sandra Lynne Holtzman (plaintiff) was in a relationship with Elsbeth Knott (defendant). Knott had a biological child, H.S., by artificial insemination. After Holtzman and Knott separated, Holtzman sought custody of or visitation with H.S. The circuit court denied Holtzman’s petition. Holtzman appealed.
