United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Dakota
71 B.R. 125 (1987)

Facts
Willard Willis Wallman (debtor) operated a crop farming business and, in exchange for a loan to finance such business, executed a security agreement that granted to the Farmers Home Administration (creditor) a security interest in “all crops, annual and perennial, and other plant products now planted, growing or grown, or which are hereafter planted or otherwise become growing crops or other plant products.” In 1983, Wallman filed a petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. Then, in 1986, Wallman, as he was still in the process of reorganization, planted and harvested a crop of wheat. Wallman thereafter sold a portion of this crop, and Farmers Home Administration claimed a security interest in the proceeds resulting therefrom.
