In the Matter of M.E.
Texas Court of Appeals
982 S.W.2d 528 (1998)
- Written by Deanna Curl, JD
Facts
M.E. (defendant), a juvenile, was married when she was charged with offenses in juvenile court. M.E. was less than 17 years old when she committed the offenses, but objected to the jurisdiction of the juvenile court and argued that her case should be transferred to criminal court because she was married. The juvenile court denied M.E.’s transfer request, and M.E. was later adjudicated delinquent. M.E. then appealed the denial of her criminal-court transfer request.
