Ingrassia Construction Co. v. Walsh
Pennsylvania Superior Court
486 A.2d 478 (1984)
- Written by Kheana Pollard, JD
Facts
Ingrassia Construction Company (Ingrassia) (plaintiff) was contracted to build a library. Ingrassia began accepting proposals from subcontractors to assist on the project. Walsh Steel Service Company (Walsh) (defendant) bid on the job, and Ingrassia eventually accepted Walsh’s bid. Ingrassia forfeited all other bids, and Walsh sent an employee to the construction site to begin the work. Due to logistical issues with the equipment, Walsh did not complete the work. Ingrassia filed suit for breach of contract. The trial court found in favor of Ingrassia, and Walsh appealed.
