Judgment of 28 November 2011, Hatem Tamimi v. Medecins Sans Frontieres
Palestine Court of Appeal for Ramallah
Case No. 409/2011 (2011)
- Written by Mary Katherine Cunningham, JD
Facts
The lower court considered a lawsuit involving Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) (appellant), a nongovernmental organization that provided medical care within the Palestinian territories, and Hatem Tamim (appellee), a former employee of MSF. Médecins Sans Frontières provided a policy manual that referred all disputes to arbitration. The trial court judge decided not to accept the case, prompting an appeal from MSF to the Court of Appeal.
