Facts
A wrongful-death judgment was recovered in Alabama for a wrongful death occurring in Alabama. Thereafter, the judgment holder filed suit in Illinois to collect on the Alabama judgment. The Illinois courts refused to give the Alabama court judgment full faith and credit because the law of Illinois did not allow recovery for death occurring by wrongful conduct in another state. The judgment holder appealed.
