Landi v. Arkules
Arizona Court of Appeals
835 P.2d 458 (1992)

- Written by Sean Carroll, JD
Facts
Landi (plaintiff) hired David Arkules (defendant) to perform a private investigation. Arkules did not have the license to perform such services that Arizona required. Landi sued Arkules, claiming that the parties’ contract was unenforceable because Arkules did not have a license. Arkules argued that even if the contract was unenforceable, he was entitled to restitution or other equitable relief due to his services actually performed under the contract. The trial court ruled that the contract was unenforceable and that Arkules was not entitled to any relief. Arkules appealed.
