Facts
Larson (plaintiff) was walking on a street in front of the St. Francis Hotel (defendant) when she was struck on the head by a falling armchair. Larson brought a negligence suit against St. Francis Hotel and did not offer any evidence other than the fact that the armchair hit her. The trial court ordered a nonsuit, and Larson appealed.
