United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma
120 F. Supp. 128 (1954)
- Written by Eric Miller, JD
Facts
An Oklahoma statute restricted the fitting of glasses, including lenses and frames, to licensed optometrists and ophthalmologists. It also prohibited the advertising of frames for glasses except by licensed optometrists and ophthalmologists. These provisions were challenged in district court by opticians, including Lee Optical Company (plaintiff), whose business revolved around fitting customers for frames.
