Facts
Baseball Commissioner Kuhn (defendant) instituted a rule prohibiting female sports reporters from being allowed into the teams’ locker rooms for the purposes of conducting interviews, unlike their male counterparts. Ludtke (plaintiff), a female sports reporter, brought suit against Kuhn after she was denied access to the New York Yankees’ locker room during World Series games solely because she was a woman.
