Facts
After three years of marriage, Mrs. Eastis (plaintiff) filed for dissolution of marriage from Mr. Eastis (defendant). The trial court found that the parties had community assets totaling $5,250. The trial court also found that the parties had community liabilities of $6,450. The court awarded Mrs. Eastis community assets valued at $3,500 and ordered Mrs. Eastis to pay $1,000 of the liabilities owed. The trial court awarded Mr. Eastis community assets valued at $1,750 and ordered Mr. Eastis to pay $5,450 of the liabilities owed. Mr. Eastis appealed the trial court’s ruling regarding the division of community assets and liabilities.
