Nash v. Baker
Oklahoma Court of Appeals
522 P.2d 1335 (1974)
- Written by Sean Carroll, JD
Facts
Marian and James Nash were married and had five children. After about 18 years of marriage, Baker (defendant) “lured” James away from Marian and the children by providing “a finer home, sexual charms, and other inducements.” Marian (plaintiff) brought suit against Baker on behalf of her minor children for alienation of their father’s affections, interference with familial relationships, and loss of the society and guidance of their father. The trial court sustained Baker’s demurrer to each cause of action. Marian appealed.
