Facts
Grant Oakman (plaintiff) filed suit against his wife’s parents (defendants) for alienation of affection. Oakman alleged that they had wrongfully advised and persuaded her to leave him. At trial, the jury was instructed that if the wife had left due to the interference of the parents, then it must find in favor of the husband, and the jury subsequently entered a verdict for the husband. The parents appealed.
