Page County Appliance Center, Inc. v. Honeywell, Inc.
Supreme Court of Iowa
347 N.W.2d 171 (1984)
- Written by Sean Carroll, JD
Facts
Page Country Appliance Center (Appliance Center) (plaintiff) displayed televisions for sale at its store. Many customers told the store’s owner that the pictures on the televisions were not coming in very well. Eventually Appliance Center found out that the pictures were bad because of interference being caused by a nearby business that was using a computer owned by ITT Electronics (ITT) and manufactured by Honeywell (defendants). Appliance Center brought this action for nuisance. The trial court ruled in favor of Appliance Center. ITT and Honeywell appealed.
