Facts
Panduit Corporation (plaintiff) brought a patent-infringement suit against All States Plastic Manufacturing Company, Inc. (All States) (defendant) in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The judge ordered the disqualification of an attorney representing All States. All States appealed the disqualification order to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The appeal raised questions as to the Federal Circuit’s jurisdiction over the matter.
