Facts
Melissa Nutt (defendant) was the driver during a home invasion. Nutt pleaded guilty to second-degree home invasion. The state (plaintiff) subsequently prosecuted Nutt with receiving and concealing firearms stolen during the home invasion. Nutt appealed the second prosecution as a violation of her double-jeopardy rights.
